The best under 16 girls in NSW were chosen to be part of the Layne Beachley camp at the High Performance Centre at Casuarina. Jan gives the girls an insight into the training of a professional surfer and a sneak peak into what CHEK Australia is all about.
Jude McMinn trains Page Harob (WCT women's surfer) while the girls from the camp listen to Jan's wealth of knowledge. Reaching the ASP WCT women's tour is exactly what these girls aspire toward.

Lyn Skewes -Thankyou Email to Jan

To: Jan Carton
Subject: Lyn's Hip Replacement

Hi Jan, Well it's now 7 weeks since I received my new hip and I see the surgeon next week.  Can now walk without sticks and from the start have had very little pain.  I can't say thank you enough for all the exercises and assistance you gave me.  When I arrived at rehab. The physio said she had never seen anyone so well prepared.  She borrowed Paul Chek's book and photocopied all my exercises and at the time I really felt she might hop on a plane and visit you.  However she leaves for the U.K. next week but was just so excited with the whole program.
Jan the operation has been a huge success and I would have sailed through had I not been allergic to endome (a man made morphine tablet) which set me back for the first 6 days.  I can't believe I'm free of pain and it really is thanks to you that my recovery has been so quick and easy.  A big hug and thank you.

Donovan Powell Tells Of His Success Story

TAKE A LOOK AT THE PLUM LINE! THESE PHOTOS ARE TAKEN 16 MTHS APART.

Donovan's Testimonial .
Click on the link for the full story. http://www.chekaustralia.com.au/TESTIMONIALS

I came to CHEK Australia after suffering from ruptured and bulging discs in my lower back for 9 ½ years.

Over the years, I was treated by chiropractors, naturopaths, physiotherapists, rehab clinics and tried acupuncture. I even purchased an invert machine to relieve the pain, spending thousands of dollars and getting no where. I was not seeing any improvement at all and at times was unable to even walk.

I was strongly advised to see one of the best neurologists in Sydney and contemplated surgery.

When I commenced at CHEK Australia I met Jan Carton and was put through the most thorough assessment yet and at that point I knew I had made the right decision. After 3 days of treatment I was virtually pain free and now 18 months on I have packed up my house, changed my job, moved my family from Sydney and started studying to become a CHEK Coach. I am stronger and more agile than I have ever been.

Not only do I deeply appreciate what Jan and the team at CHEK Australia have done for me, but I will be forever thankful as it has given me my life back and I now have a future to look forward to.

Donovan Powell.

Taylor Cecil blitzed the field

Well Done TAYLOR !!

BANORA Point triathlete Taylor Cecil blitzed the field to take out the Queensland Triathlon Series race at Caloundra on the Sunday the 7th of Feb.

Cecil produced a solid 400m swim, backed that up with a competitive 15km cycle before dominating the 4km run to claim one of the most convincing triumphs of his young career.

Cecil was armed with a promising mindset for Sunday as he has a strong support from dynamic coaching duo Jan Carton (nutrition and strength) and Justin Drew (triathlon).

Cecil said he had been coached by Carton since May 2009 at Burleigh and had found her nutrition and mental techniques immensely beneficial.

“A lot of people don’t realise the importance of core and mental stability and racing with mental toughness,” Cecil said. “When everyone is at the same level of fitness, the winner will be the one who is toughest in the head.

“Jan has also helped Mick Fanning and Stephanie Gilmour, so it is great to have her assisting me.”
